They are reserving the whole 4th floor for us, so let’s fill it up! Room trading starts on Wed. 3/07/07. The show is Saturday, 3/10/07 from 9:00 to 3:00.
I am hoping to have a good mix of vintage and contemporary artists / dealers and collectors. I am also working with the city to see what is required to get a permit for live demos ( flaming torches! ).
This hotel is near Disney Land and Knott’s Berry Farm, with lots of shopping, food and large Cineplex within walking distance. More info on the nearby amenities later!
I am interested in hearing from you if you would like to attend the show as a walk-in, have a room in the hotel, have a table in the show, or are not interested at all.
If you are in the area and would like to help in the planning and other organizing of the show, let me know also. There is always plenty to do to get involved and make this a great show!
If you have any ideas about the show and how to make a great show for everyone, please let me know as we will listen to all advice. We really want this show to be a top shelf show like the Phoenix show, and the shows put on jointly by the IAMC AND MA/MCU.

June 1-2, 2007....Amana Marble Meet
The Amana Marble Meet will be held on June 1-2, 2007 at the Amana Holiday Inn, Exit 225, Interstate 80. Phone 319-668-1175 for room reservations, and mention that you are with the marble show. Accomodations are also available at Super 8: 1-319-668-2800 or Comfort Inn: 1-319-668-2700.
Room trading and selling takes place several days prior to the official events. The Friday banquet will feature speaker Scott McBride as he discusses the game of Chinese Checkers. The banquet will include an all-you-can-eat German family-style dinner, featuring cottage cheese, cole slaw, pickled ham, Amana breads, crisp fried chicken, oven baked steak, mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon, and sauerkraut, with marble cake for dessert.
On Saturday, the show hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Exhibitor set-up is from 7 am to 9 am. There will be coffee and cinnamon rolls for exhibitors. If you are exhibiting, long extension cords and lights will improve the existing lighting. Please remember, only marbles and marble related items are allowed in the exhibit room.
The show opens to the public at 9:00 am with $3.00 admission at the door. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by an adult. Door prizes will be given and over forty tables of marbles will be available to view!
