I use to go to the Eaton Plant in Van Wert so, I know the drive time fairly well. It's 3 1/2 hours...just past Cedar Point or Ruggles Beach.

well, i dont have that kind of money but what i can do is verify or back up your finds with an identification,, its a tough bussiness on high end marbs,, lots a people are scepticle reguardless,,, are there any boxes that come with these is that how you came about the id on them or the guy that sold them told you?,, just curious,,if they are what you say they are i would say you got a true roadshow find,lol,,bj

'Somebody', nothing negative intended about your offer or deal...but until you say who you are, 'somebody' could quite literally be anybody including Ryan who also had some really nice CACs way back when. Maybe you know of Ryan or maybe not. Initially, all I'm saying is that all you need do is tell who you are. Your bio info here at MM shows 'private' in all the pertinent areas, but that's no big deal, really. You have emailed me twice in answer to my interest to see them and offer to help you in any way I could, and you have posted here several times. Yet, you remain 'nameless.' Until you do 'come out' as far as I'm concerned, that is negative beginning.
You may admit or must realize that an offer of 70 or so marbles by unquestionably the best American marble maker in history for $8500 is cause for possible questions and inquiries from any interested parties whether casual interest or offer-serious one.
In the past, IMHO, we have seen far too much 'cloak and dagger' tactics where CACs are concerned. Other makers' marbles do not seem to garner such 'deep throat' activity. Also, I believe, some of us would like and greatly appreciate a little transparency in these regards.
Your CACs, the ones I saw in your email, are nice. I think they will sell well for you. No further emails to me or from me are necessary. I appreciate your email responses.

I understand the concerns of all, really I do! But, if you don't live within a short driving distance, how can I make it less risky? I'm the one sending 70 cac's-----no alley's---out the door with empty pockets--------will I ever see them or the money again====or I can send them to Ron Shaw as he asked to verify what the pics and I already know---to pay shipping and insurance both ways (and I do appreciate his offer to go above and beyond for nothing in return)
Getting the picture----I'm taking the risk if no one shows up at my door to buy them direct. It was just a thought to offer them here------you all collect marbles, can ID most from pics and maybe know one person from here we could trust and be made whole for their involment by me----maybe not a good idea? Sorry for getting some of you all worked up!

Ron, I didn't ask for id and condition varification which is what you offered. It was for the buyer and I to agree apon and feel comfortable and your name has not come up yet! Like I said before, sorry for getting some of you excited.
It was a grand scheme for me to wait outside in the bushes at (maybe) Scoop's house....wait for the money to arrive then, bust in and get all the goods including these nice Alley's! You folks caught me, rats! Good work! 
btw, Scoop, where do you live? I hope it's not far with gas at $3 gal.

Hi somebody!! I don't know of any other Scoop on these boards, so I'm assuming that your reference is to me? Thank you so much for putting me at the top of your "first to come to mind" honesty list!!! I really appreciate that!!
But, in honor of living up to it, I have to admit that my knowledge of this area falls far short of what's necessary to carry out what you ask. I am not qualified at all to verify CAC's at that level... As much as I admire them, they are not an area that I've ever seriously focused on.
That coupled with a very crazy schedule over the next few months and the distance between us (I'm in New Hampshire) makes me an impractical choice for the middle person in your transaction.

Scoop, I understand! Your name came to my mind of someone I would trust and only given as an example. It was not a long thought out plan for moving these! I tried to come up with a way that would put myself at more risk than the buyer, short of sending them to kelex or inkman!
I'm sure we have all fell short in deals that didn't meet our expectation once received. Hopefully, without much money at stake and not worth fighting about. This is a different story for both parties! How many people would you trust enough to send a few grand (both buyer and seller)? Would you be selective? I think (hope) most people understand that my efforts was an attempt at giving more comfort to the buyer! If I fill out the bio will you know that I'm honest or is one's actions to provide a "no risk" deal enough for the buyer?
As for the blue transparent on blue base (called marble kings) on Lou's board:
Everyone I sent pic to was told that these are 2 seam and some what a mistery to me but I think they are cac's (they all left that out). They are not on a white base and would be willing to send one to the first cac collector to contact me for an id (sent with a postage paid return box)! The base of light blue and dark blue streaks matching that of striped opaques in that color (hard to show/tell in pics). Or, could someone who collects MK post a matching example?

They very well could be MK from your pic (if you are sure of it's provenance..looked at your pic again and if thats a thread of oxblood..I would agree on the MK id on yours). What seems odd, but not impossible by any means, is that there was 7+ MK's, all blue on blue that matched with the quanities offered of same colored flames/swirls/opaques in over 120 cac's (like it was from a box set). Jeff (scoobydoo) was offered a group before my purchase. At New Philly he said there was some in his group and he thought they were cac's....me...I wasn't convinced 100% thus my statement to all contacts. I looked at many MK's that I dug (at the time I bought them) and had none that matched side by side. Would you mind if I sent you one to compare?

multiple reasons...mainly, I work a continuous shift with possible transfer every Thurs. I can't plan much in advance.

No, my only concern was to keep them together. To me, knowing their use and value at the time, how rare that they could survived together for over 85 years. I could have sold approx. 20 to complete a cac box.

Then again the quarterly bonus was all there and I just finished a Kitchen remodel so the whole case of mibs is looking better and better.
