i just bought the first one and have the second on my list.
the coupon code still works (through the end of the year) but shipping is not free if you use a discount. (watch out because it didn't show up on my total on the website, but 3.95 was added to my credit card charge.)

The new book is only 15.95, so it does not pay to use the discount and pay shipping. You end up paying more than paying full price for the book and getting free shipping.
